Gizmodo Editor Sides with Hackers
Part of Jesus Daiz’s editorial says,
“I wonder if this may very well be the beginning of our May 1968. That was the time when the young French generations stood up against the government to demand a much needed change.
Opening the vaults of dark secrets and exposing corruption everywhere would certainly help towards that goal: Real change. Perhaps this is just the beginning of a quiet and angry revolution that will make the world a better place. Maybe making that information public will be instrumental to wake everyone up.”
Erwos in the comments states:
“This is basically cyber-terrorism at its finest. I’m shocked that anyone could really support this kind of harmful, illegal activity. And, believe me, it’ll harm you. Wasn’t the PSN hack enough for you to figure that out? These guys don’t care a whit for the collateral damage they inflict.”
“They’re terrorists and criminals, full stop. It’s really par for course for Gawker to openly promote illegal activity, so maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised that you don’t see the obvious issue here.”
Let us not forget that Gizmodo is part of the Gawker Network and is a company that I’m sure has a hard number on how much money their security breaches have cost them. I’m sure that Gawker and its poperties will forever be on the side of “The Hackers” from here on out for fear of another attack and the costs associated with it.
