Ubuntu for Tablets looks so much better than Amazons custom forked version of Android for its Kindle Fire family.

Amazon’s tutorial about how to enable the Amazon AppStore on Android is awesome. I love the section around the 0:40 second marker. The instructor tells the user to enable a setting that prompts the user with an alert. The instructor quickly tells users to just hit “OK”, without even making a brief mention about what the alert says.

Now if you see that the “unknown sources” box is not checked, click “unknown sources”. An “Attention” note will appear. Click “OK”. Nice Work. A green check mark has popped up in the “Unknown sources” box.

In case Android didn’t have enough security issues, just enable the this setting so that software can be installed from anywhere.

Now if you noticed that the box was already checked, that’s okay. Now we’re all together.

Yeah, thats okay that your phone was already open to the world to install software onto your phone by default and you probably didn’t know about it.
