Online Company Fails At Offline Marketing
Groupon ran a thirty second commercial during last night’s Super Bowl that was just plain bad (embedded at the bottom of this post). This commercial should be a lesson of “what not to do”.
For those who don’t know, Groupon is a “deal-of-the-day” service that promotes “group coupons” by hooking into the social fabric of todays web. Groupon’s deals typically are specialized and different in each local market that it supports.
