Podcasts for iOS: what's wrong, and what can be improved

Ars Technica has a great write up about everything wrong with Apple’s new “Podcasts” app.

I don’t use 3rd party podcast catchers because of my consumption behavior and the potential for Podcasts to have access to the iTunes music library on my iPhone 4 has great pay off.  I sure hope Apple irons out some of the bugs/sync issues that this app has.

Apple has decided to release a Free standalone Podcaster app that supports iPhone, iPod, and iPad.

This will drive these Podcaster apps to step up their game.
